Thoughts: It seems like children aren’t learning nursery rhymes as much now as they used to.  I was actually talking with a moms’ group about this very thing at a presentation last week. As we went through different rhymes in the program, some of the children were familiar with a few of the rhymes.  We really worked on “Hey Diddle Diddle” and then reinforced it with the craft at the end.  It seemed like most of the kids had it committed to memory by the time they left.
