Thoughts: This is our first week of the Summer Library Club. Our library participates in the Collaborative Summer Library Program, so I’ll be using the “Every Hero Has a Story” theme each week through the end of July while still working with the early learning standards I use for my program. This first week we did tall tale heroes. The length of some tall tales can make them difficult to use with a preschool crowd, but the three I used in this storytime seemed to work well. (I think it helped that my crowd did tend toward the upper end of preschool age this week.)
